Lucy Michell

Lucy Michell is an illustrator and musician from St.Paul MN. She graduated from the University of MN with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design in 2010. And went on to work with clients such as Target, Tenmoku Tea, In the Groove Music, The Music Lab, Cadenza Music, St.Paul and Minneapolis Public Libraries,The University of MN Press, Cantata Learning, Anderson Realty, Thomas Dooley Advertising (TDA), Dumpling Restaurant, The New Standards, and has been commissioned to do countless portraits for individuals. Lucy mainly works in both the physical and digital illustration world but also enjoys printmaking, ceramics and paper mache. She was the selected artist for the 2015 Stone Arch Bridge Festival and has shown her work at Honeycomb, Squirrelhaus Arts and American Craft Council's Winter Craft Bash. In 2019 Lucy illustrated her first book through the University of MN Press entitled "Jack and the Ghost" written by Chan Poling. She just finished up illustrating a book for the MN Historical Society Press set to be released in 2024.
